Creative Lead at Hopelab

Robin Hayashi is the current Creative Lead at Hopelab. Prior to this, they were a Design Lead at IDEO from September 2019 to May 2020, where they were responsible for leading and participating in human-centered design projects, prototyping and building solutions, providing deep graphic design craft, managing partner relationships, and cultivating creative studio culture. Robin also managed project team dynamics, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring design excellence and creating conditions for project success. Robin spent six months of their time at IDEO in the brand-focused Cambridge studio. Before IDEO, Robin worked as a Senior Graphic Designer at IDEO.org from May 2018 to September 2018, where they were on rotation from IDEO.org to IDEO for six months to bring depth in designing for vulnerable populations, gender equality, graphic design craft, and a design- and make-forward process. From February 2015 to July 2019, Robin was the Design Lead at IDEO.org. And prior to that, they were a Graphic Designer at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from September 2013 to January 2015. Robin's first internship was as a Graphic Design Intern at Pearlfisher from June 2013 to August 2013. Her second internship was as a Graphic Design Intern at Alphabet Arm from June 2012 to August 2012.

After Robin Hayashi completed their undergraduate degree at the Rhode Island School of Design, they pursued a career in graphic design. Robin then went on to complete a certification in 200 hour yoga teacher training from Down Under Yoga.

Robin Hayashi reports to Margaret Laws, President & Chief Executive Officer. Robin Hayashi works with Joshua Lavra - Creative Lead, Amy Green - Head of Research, and Lionel Ramazzini - Creative Lead.
