Lauren Dawson is an experienced communications professional currently serving as a Communications Specialist at HopePHL since August 2023. Previous roles include Special Gifts Officer at Arcadia University, Corporate Campaign Specialist at United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, and Outreach Account Lead at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, where involvement included the LLS Student Series. Additional experience includes a position as Cashwrap Coordinator at SEPHORA and a Media Intern role at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where responsibilities included running live broadcasts. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Penn State University, completed in 2017.

HopePHL (pronounced Hopeful) is a newly formed social service organization for families, youth, and young children, experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Philadelphia. HopePHL was formed from two separate, but well known, social service organizations, People’s Emergency Center (PEC), and Youth Service, Inc (YSI), with 150 years of combined service experience.
