Patricia Melton

Chief Officer of Operations, FT at HopeWorks

Patricia Melton is the current Chief Officer of Operations at HopeWorks. Patricia has over 18 years of experience in management, grants, and re-entry services.

Patricia began their career as the Director of Treatment Planning and Recidivism at the State of Tennessee Memphis Mental Health Institute. In this role, they were responsible for research and recommending evidence-based curricula, as well as coordinating the institute's college internship program and vocational training for inmates.

In 2007, Patricia became the Assistant Chief Officer at Arlington Development Center, where they oversaw the daily operations of the facility. Patricia remained in this role for three years before taking on the position of Manager of Grants and Re-entry Services at Shelby County Division of Corrections in 2011.

In their eight years at Shelby County Division of Corrections, Patricia was responsible for securing and managing grants, ensuring compliance with all grant requirements, serving as a clearinghouse for data, and coordinating pre-release to post-release services. Patricia was also a national conference presenter and liaison for pre-release to post-release services.

In 2019, Patricia became Deputy Administrator at Shelby County Office of Reentry before being promoted to their current role as Chief Officer of Operations at HopeWorks in 2020.
