Alex Campeau

Alex Campeau is the current VP Engineering at Hopper. Prior to this, they were the Director Software Development and Engineering at INAP from February 2018 to January 2019. Before that, they were with CAE for 11 years, starting as an intern in January 2006 and working their way up to Manager, IT Engineering Solutions and Application Development. In this role, they led a cross-functional team of analysts, developers and solution architects, improved IT service levels and business value delivery time by introducing Agile, DevOps and automated QA practices in a traditional environment, developed a trusting business relationship with internal partners by introducing a governance structure based on Agile principles, ensured compliance to IT standards in a heavily regulated industry, and participated in IT security initiatives.

Alex Campeau earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal. Alex also attended Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf. Alex Campeau is certified in Six Sigma Green Belt and Professional Scrum Master.

Alex Campeau reports to Frederic Lalonde, CEO. They are on a team with Dakota Smith - Chief Strategy Officer, Ben Walters - Head of Strategy & BD, Hopper Cloud, and Patrick Surry - Chief Data Scientist.
