Davit Bzhalava

Davit Bzhalava has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and bioinformatics. Davit started their career as a Bioinformatician at Karolinska Institutet in 2014, where they worked until 2017. Davit then joined Swedbank as a Senior Data Scientist from August 2017 to December 2018. From January 2019 to April 2020, Davit served as the Principal Data Scientist at Swedbank. Currently, they are working as the Head of Data Science at Hopsworks, starting from April 2020.

Davit Bzhalava completed their education in a systematic manner. In 2005, they enrolled at Umeå University and earned a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Public Health in 2006. After that, they pursued higher education at Karolinska Institutet from 2010 to 2014, obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Bioinformatics.
