Scott Walters

Principal at Hord Coplan Macht

Scott Walters is a Principal and Design Director of the Education Studio. He has led Hord Coplan Macht’s design team on multiple education projects for universities and community colleges, as well as private and public K-12 schools.

Scott believes great architecture arises from the unexpected. Thoughtful solutions emerge from analysis, curiosity, and hard work. A methodology tied intimately to the people, places, and time in which and for which work. Focusing on investigation and imagination, Scott creates architecture with inspiring ideas and meaningful connections. Some of his most notable work includes the Darlington Hall at Harford Community College, Maryland Hillel and UMCP, and the Smith Center at Mount Saint Joseph High School. A registered architect in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington D.C., Scott is a member of the AIA Baltimore Board of Directors. He is also a frequent guest critic and former adjunct faculty member at the Morgan State University Graduate School of Architecture.
