Horizon Discovery
Elena Maksimova is a highly experienced scientist with a strong background in RNA interference (RNAi) research and product development. Currently serving as Scientist 2 at Horizon Discovery since September 2017 and Scientist I at GE Healthcare since March 2014, Elena has also contributed to significant projects at Thermo Fisher Scientific from 2003 to March 2014, focusing on high-throughput screening and assay development. Earlier experience includes roles as a Professional Research Assistant at the University of Colorado at Boulder, working on stress-activated kinases and proinflammatory cytokines, and at Yale University, researching autoantigens related to type I diabetes. Elena holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Lomonosov Moscow State University, obtained between 1983 and 1988.
