Laura Wagstaff is a Senior Research Scientist at Horizon Discovery, specializing in CRISPR screening services since July 2016. In this role, Laura oversees projects that encompass screen design, cell line selection, and bioinformatics analysis. Prior to this position, Laura served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Cambridge from August 2010 to July 2016, focusing on mechanical cell competition and its role in quality control that eliminates unfit cells. Additionally, Laura's earlier experience includes research on the metalloproteinase ADAMTS-15 in breast cancer and the tumor suppressive activity of Maspin in prostate cancer cell lines during a Postdoctoral role at the University of East Anglia from January 2007 to June 2010. Laura holds a PhD in Developmental Biology and Embryology from the University of East Anglia, obtained in 2006, and a BSc in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the same institution, completed in 2003.
