Nitza Mercado

Nitza Mercado currently serves as the Medicare/Medicaid Operations Manager at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, a position held since January 2017. Previously, Nitza held the role of Manager of Enrollment Operation at EmblemHealth, where responsibilities included monitoring inventory, production, quality, and audits, developing staff training programs, and managing enrollment-related projects. Prior experience includes serving as Claims Manager at WJ Jones, overseeing medical and dental claims processing, and as Administrator of Account/Broker Service Call Center at Group Health Incorporated, where call center operations were managed and correspondence addressed to the company’s executives was handled. Nitza holds a Master's degree in Education from Mercy College and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Metropolitan College of New York.
