Silvia Pinel-Villalobos, DO, CHCQM has worked as a Medical Director- Health Care Transformation- Utilization Management and Appeals at Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey since August 2019. Prior to that, they were an Attending Physician at RWJBarnabas Health from June 2012 to July 2019.

Silvia Pinel-Villalobos, DO, CHCQM, obtained their Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine from 1998 to 2002. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature at Stevens Institute of Technology from 1989 to 1994. Silvia has additional certifications including CHCQM, obtained from the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians® (ABQAURP) in December 2020. Silvia is also Board Certified in Internal Medicine since 2006, certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in December 2016.
