Calvin DeBoer

Mr. DeBoer serves as Chief Technology and Operations Officer (CTO/COO) and is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. He is responsible for establishing Horizon’s technology strategy and leading all aspects of the firm’s digital product and software development initiatives. He oversees the firm’s trading, operations, performance reporting, and data functions.

Mr. DeBoer has been a member of the Horizon team since 2007, when he joined as a research analyst. Shortly after that, he became Head of Trading for ETFs and, over the years, continued to add more senior roles and responsibilities in cyber security, software development, and technology strategy to his areas of oversight.

Mr. DeBoer graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a B.S. in Business Administration. He is an avid programmer and a code contributor to Horizon’s proprietary software and several open-source projects.
