Karen Symes

Karen Symes, MAICD, CertEDC, serves as the Chief Technology & Operations Officer at TelstraSuper since January 2018, overseeing technology strategy and operations with a team of approximately 100. Previously, from July 2010 to December 2017, Karen held the position of Chief Information & Innovation Officer at Guild Group, where responsibilities included leadership within various subsidiaries. As a Non-Executive Director at Early Childhood Management Services from 2009 to 2013, Karen contributed to the governance and strategic development of services for children and families. Prior roles include Head of Business Systems & Technology at Equity Trustees and Senior Manager in the Technology Services Group at ANZ, where a significant tenure began in London and expanded globally. Karen's career began in various technology roles across diverse industries in the UK before migrating to Australia. Karen holds a Master of Applied Science in Innovation and Service Management from RMIT University.
