Christy Pekara has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Christy began their career in 2005 as a Research Intern at the US Fish and Wildlife Service. Christy then worked as a Research Assistant at the Gladys Porter Zoo in 2006. From 2006 to 2012, they served as a 2nd Mate at Horizon Lines and Matson Navigation, where they were responsible for shipboard navigation, medical assistance, and cargo operations.
