Peter Kempster

Peter Kempster is an experienced professional in power generation and management, currently serving as Generation Manager South at Horizon Power since May 2022. Previously, Peter held multiple roles at Hydro Tasmania from July 2012 to May 2022, including King Island Production Manager and Bass Strait Island Generation Manager, overseeing operations at the King Island Power Station and Huxley Hill Wind Farm. Peter's career includes extensive experience at Aurora Energy as a Power Station Coordinator and as a Mechanical Field Coordinator at Power and Water Corporation, managing operations and maintenance in remote power systems. Peter began as an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter at Power and Water Corporation and has a solid educational background from Northern Territory Rural College and Katherine High School.
