Horizons for Homeless Children
Ashley Burgess is an experienced Early Childhood Education Specialist currently working at The Institute for Education and Professional Development, Inc. since February 2024, where responsibilities include updating and reviewing professional development courses and designing informational materials for clients. With a background as a Trauma Informed Educator at Horizons for Homeless Children since January 2017, Ashley analyzes student development and conducts quarterly assessments to evaluate outcomes. Previous experience includes serving as an Early Childhood Educator at Merry Deb Child Care and Learning Center from September 2014 to December 2016, leading collaborative instruction tailored to individual learning needs. Ashley began the career as a Jumpstart Corps Member, implementing literacy-focused session plans and supporting early literacy skills. Ashley holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Bridgewater State University, earned in 2014.
