The Finance function at Horizontal is looking for a hands-on Assistant Accounting Manager to join and make a meaningful impact to the department.  This role reports to the Finance Manager in our Bangalore India office and will be a key contributor to handle the day-to-day accounting needs for our APAC region offices.

  • Calculate and prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations as part of month-end close.
  • Validation of all expenses and internal controls, preparations of monthly provisions and prepaid allocations.
  • Manage Procure to Pay process.
  • Monthly Review of General Ledger, TB Comparison and Bank Reconciliations, prepare Balance sheet schedules.
  • Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) monthly, quarterly and yearly.
  • Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles for India and interface for internal and statutory.
  • Audits along with preparing the audit binder.
  • Own the Fixed Asset accounting process, ensuring the company is following company policy.
  • Management of Intercompany Transactions

  • Takes initiative to understand the business and develop productive relationships with business personnel.

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Thorough Knowledge of India Accounting Standards
  • Thorough knowledge of GST and TDS
  • Experience in Team Management
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with enterprise accounting systems.  Zoho a plus
  • Great communication skills, fluency English
  • Previous professional service industry experience a plus.
  • Previous experience in handling international accounts a plus
