Andrew Smith

Andrew Smith is a seasoned housing professional with extensive experience in managing housing and community services. Currently serving as Head of Housing and Communities at Horsham District Council since January 2024, Andrew previously held the position of Executive Head of Housing Services at Guildford and Waverley Borough Councils from October 2022 to December 2023. Earlier roles include Head of Housing Delivery and Communities at Waverley Borough Council and Strategic Housing Manager at Horsham District Council, where Andrew was instrumental in developing and executing housing strategies and delivering homelessness prevention initiatives. Throughout a career that began in 2000 with the Rural Housing Trust and English Rural Housing Association, Andrew has consistently fostered partnerships to address local housing needs and enhance community services.
