Alex leads their Large Loss Fraud team and personally deals with the most complex fraud litigation including Contempt of Court proceedings, Conspiracy actions, Fraud rings and staged accidents. Alex provides training on all aspects of Fraud litigation, both internally and externally, including at Insurance Fraud Bureau events. Notable recent cases include Jet2holidays v Brown, where he acted for the tour operator in a claim alleging conspiracy to defraud against two dishonest holiday sickness claimants, LV v Karim in which a dishonest Claims Management Company director was sentenced to 6 months in prison for contempt of court and Hughes v Jet2holidays by securing a landmark Court of Appeal ruling which will makes it easier for travel companies to prosecute dishonest claimants.
