Alex Murdoch has extensive experience in the recruitment and hospitality industry. Alex started their career as a Sales Manager at Nottingham Antique Centre, where they handled the distribution of antiques for exportation. Alex then became the General Manager of Escucha Bar & Restaurant, overseeing all aspects of the business, including finance, staffing, and customer service.

In 2012, Alex worked as an Advisor at Grosvenor Consulting, providing recruitment advice and gaining knowledge of the industry. Alex later joined Bambuddha Ibiza as the Night Manager during the summer season.

From 2013 to 2014, Alex served as the Hospitality Recruitment Manager at Dawaam, managing the hospitality division and focusing on efficient staffing solutions. Alex then joined COREcruitment Ltd as a Recruitment Specialist, placing candidates in various locations within the hospitality industry.

In 2015, Alex became the Hospitality Recruitment Director & Founder of HELO (formerly MyCru Hospitality Careers). This global hospitality services agency specialized in recruitment, training, and education for the Middle East and Europe. Alex also joined Hosco in 2019 as the Talent Search Manager, specializing in mid-senior management recruitment for the hospitality and facilities management industry internationally.

Alex Murdoch attended Nottingham High School for Boys from 1991 to 1998. After completing their secondary education, they enrolled at Leeds Beckett University from 2002 to 2006. During their time at the university, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Languages with Professional Studies.
