Amber Gensheimer Msn Rn, Npd-Bc, Ltc-Cip

Amber Gensheimer has a diverse work experience in the healthcare field. Amber started their career at Jewish Hospital & St. Mary's HealthCare, where they worked as a Floor Nurse on the VAD/heart transplant telemetry unit. Amber then became a Charge Nurse on a telemetry unit, where they also took on responsibilities as a house supervisor and conducted peer interviews. Amber later transitioned to a role as an Acute Care Manager at the same hospital.

In 2013, Amber joined Signature Healthcare, initially working as a Staff Development Coordinator, providing education to staff and assisting with clinical processes. Amber then advanced to the role of Director of Clinical Education and Program Development, where they maintained and updated clinical policies, developed programs, and participated in training activities. Amber also served as the Clinical Learning and Development Manager, establishing a market orientation model and implementing it in seven facilities. In their most recent role at Signature Healthcare, they were the Director of Infection Control & Quality Management.

Amber's most recent position is as the Executive Director of Education at Hosparus Health.

Amber Gensheimer MSN, RN, NPD-BC, LTC-CIP completed their education in a chronological order. Amber first attended the University of Louisville from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. Following this, they attended Indiana Wesleyan University from 2011 to 2013 and earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Nursing Education.

Amber Gensheimer also holds additional certifications to complement their education. Amber obtained their Nursing Professional Development certification from the American Nursing Credentialing Center in November 2018. Amber further pursued a Long-Term Care Certification in Infection Prevention (LTC-CIP) from the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology, Inc. in October 2022.
