Joshua Magariel

Joshua Magariel is an experienced professional in the field of social work and hospice care, currently serving as the Director of Quality Improvement and Compliance at Hospice of the Chesapeake since September 2023. Previously, Joshua held a faculty position at the University of Chicago Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy, and Practice from March 2021 to June 2024, teaching courses on end-of-life care and grief. Joshua also served as the Regional Director of Patient Experience at AccentCare Hospice & Palliative Care and held various roles including Director at the LIFE Institute and Manager of Grief & Loss Services at Rainbow Hospice and Palliative Care. With a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Denver and a Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies from The University of Kansas, Joshua's extensive background includes clinical therapy, bereavement counseling, and social work in hospice settings.
