Laura Vilella Bertran is a neurologist currently working at Hospital del Mar since February 2023. Previously, Laura served as an Intracranial EEG fellow and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston from December 2018 to May 2022, focusing on research related to Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP). Prior to that, Laura conducted SUDEP research as a Research Assistant at Case Western Reserve University from September 2017 to December 2018. Laura completed a neurology residency at Vall d'Hebron Barcelona Hospital Campus from May 2013 to May 2017 and observed at the Rush Epilepsy Center at Rush University Medical Center in August 2016. Laura earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from Universitat de Barcelona between 2006 and 2012.
