Susanne Carina van Den Brink

Susanne Carina van den Brink is a postdoctoral researcher at the Hospital del Mar Research Institute since November 2021, with prior experience as a postdoctoral researcher at Universitat Pompeu Fabra from May to October 2021. Susanne obtained a PhD from the Hubrecht Institute, Developmental Biology and Stem Cell Research, where research focused on single-cell and spatial transcriptomics of gastruloids, achieving cum laude recognition. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Stem Cells and Developmental Biology, also with cum laude honors, and a Bachelor of Sciences in Biology, both from Utrecht University. Teaching experience includes serving as a Teaching Assistant for courses in Mathematical Modelling, Bioinformatics, Anatomy, and Statistics. Internships at Cambridge University and the Hubrecht Institute further contributed to expertise in embryonic development and cardiac development research.
