Cristina Lamarca

Cristina LaMarca has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Cristina began their career at New York Presbyterian Hospital in 1997, working as a Registered Nurse for three years before transitioning into the role of Research Specialist/Coordinator. In 2003, they joined the law firm Kaufman Borgeest & Ryan LLP, starting as a Legal Intern and eventually becoming an Associate and then a Partner. Cristina worked at the firm for twelve years until 2018. Currently, they are serving as the Senior Director of Risk Management at the Hospital for Special Surgery.

Cristina LaMarca holds a Juris Doctor (JD) degree in Law with a Certificate in Health Law from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University, which they completed from 2002 to 2005. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science in Nursing Informatics (MSN) from New York University between 1998 and 2001. Cristina earned their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Georgetown University from 1993 to 1997. Additionally, Cristina has obtained the Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) certification from the American Society for Health Care Risk Management (ASHRM) in 2022.
