Michael Gold

Michael Gold serves as an Entrepreneur in Residence at the Hospital for Special Surgery since May 2021 and is the Principal at Goldstrom Media, focusing on mobile applications and transmedia series aimed at improving grade level English reading proficiency. Gold held the position of Principal at Team Guardian/Knee Guardian from August 2018 to April 2021 and was previously the Chief Product Officer at Element3 Health from October 2014 to June 2018, where leadership support for product transition was a key responsibility. As CEO of Electrotank from February 2009 to June 2013, Gold led a prominent game tech company that developed mobile and online games for notable clients. Additional experience includes serving as Principal Investigator at DARPA, COO of Animation Collective Children's Entertainment, Principal at Learnimation, Management Consultant for the City of Philadelphia, and Founder & General Manager of the Michael Gold Gallery. Gold's academic background includes a BA in Economics from Amherst College and a certificate in International Economics from the University of Cambridge.
