Elisabeth Castellanos is a highly experienced professional in the field of genetics and cancer research. Currently serving as the Coordinator of the Clinical Genomics Unit at the Genetic Service of Hospital Universitari Germans Trias i Pujol since December 2019, Elisabeth specializes in the genetic diagnosis of hereditary rare cancer syndromes and related diseases. In addition to this role, Elisabeth is a collaborating professor at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and a Research Associate at Germans Trias i Pujol Research Institute, focusing on translational research in neurocutaneous diseases, particularly understanding molecular bases and therapeutic strategies. Prior experience includes technical coordination of genetic diagnostics for hereditary cancer at the Instituto de Medicina Predictica y Personalizada del Cáncer and significant research roles throughout various institutions, culminating in a Ph.D. in Biology from Universitat de Barcelona and a Master's in Bioinformatics from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
