Michael Rock has had an extensive career in the hospitality industry, starting as the Casino General Manager at Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino in 2003. Michael then moved on to become the General Manager at JW Marriott Mexico City from 2005 to 2009, where they received various accolades for their exceptional performance. Subsequently, they took on the role of General Manager at The Waikiki EDITION from 2009 to 2011, tasked with shaping the brand identity of the new lifestyle hotel. Michael then transitioned to The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company LLC as the General Manager in 2011, setting record results before joining Host Hotels & Resorts. At Host Hotels & Resorts, they held the positions of Market Vice President of Asset Management and later, Senior Vice President, Head of Asset Management, responsible for overseeing asset management.

Michael Rock obtained a Bachelor's degree, Magna Cum Laude with honors in Hotel, Motel, and Restaurant Management from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1986. Michael later pursued an extension certificate in Gaming Management from the University of Nevada, Reno from 2003 to 2005.
