Jim Spanfeller

Jim Spanfeller is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in digital media and management consultancy. As CEO of G/O Media since April 2019, Spanfeller has also served as President of The Spanfeller Group since September 2017, focusing on digital strategy and client success. Spanfeller's previous roles include Chairman of the Board for Hot Topics and Board Member for Digital Content Next and Mediasmith. Jim was SVP and General Manager of The Daily Meal Ventures Group at tronc for a short period in 2017. Spanfeller founded and led Spanfeller Media Group from 2011 to 2016, which produced notable digital publications. Earlier in their career, Spanfeller held the position of CEO at Forbes.com from 2001 to 2009. Educationally, Spanfeller holds a BA in English Literature from Union College.
