Caitlin Knauss

Caitlin Knauss has a rich and diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Caitlin started their career in 2006 as a Visual Merchandising Team Lead at Urban Outfitters. Caitlin then worked at Kohl's Department Stores as a Product Development Specialist and later as a Digital Promotional Merchandising Coordinator. In 2014, they joined RetailMeNot, Inc. as an Associate Designer and eventually took on the role of Account Manager.

In 2016, Caitlin ventured into the startup world, working as a Product Designer at hOp - 'The new way to neighbor'. Caitlin demonstrated adaptability and agility in this role and contributed to various areas including website and app design, research, prototype development, and marketing collateral creation.

From 2017 to 2018, Caitlin worked as a Product Designer at SpareFoot, supporting agile product teams and successfully implementing initiatives to enhance reservation and move-in rates.

In 2018, they joined H-E-B as an Experience Designer and was instrumental in scaling the design team to over 50 members. Caitlin conducted early research for the MVP My H-E-B app, resulting in 1MM downloads within the first three months. Caitlin later took on the role of Senior Experience Designer and co-led a lean R&D team, focusing on menu development, service and product design, and MVP prototyping.

In 2021, Caitlin became the Lead Design Researcher at Hologram Inc., establishing the research practice and mentoring a team of Product and Brand Designers. Caitlin also played a key role in defining the company's "Ideal Consumer Profile" and informing ongoing research projects.

Currently, Caitlin is working at Hotel Engine as the Lead Product Designer, utilizing their expertise and experience in product design to contribute to the company's success.

Through their various roles, Caitlin has showcased their skills in design research, mentorship, team management, and driving product success.

Caitlin Knauss has a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing Communications and Advertising from Columbia College Chicago. Caitlin has also pursued additional education in User Experience Design and Web Design and Development at General Assembly. Lastly, there is no information about their degree or field of study at Lake Forest College.
