Seija Roels

Seija Roels has a strong background in the hospitality and marketing sectors, currently serving as a Sales & Banqueting Medewerker at Van der Valk Hotel Gent since January 2023. Previously, Seija gained valuable experience as a Jobstudent at Bubble waffle.be from 2016 to January 2023, contributing to the evolution of the business from a food truck to a permanent location in Antwerp. A Marketing Trainee at Sapphire House Antwerp in 2022 provided the opportunity to be part of the pre-opening team for the hotel, marking a significant milestone as the first Marriott and Autograph Collection hotel in Belgium. Additionally, Seija completed a Sales and Marketing Management Trainee position at Van der Valk Hotel Beveren in 2020, marking the initial entry into the hotel industry. Work experience also includes involvement with Foodies on Tour from 2015 to 2020, gaining catering experience at private events and festivals. Seija holds Bachelor's degrees in Marketing and Hotel- and Hospitality Management from AP Hogeschool Antwerpen, as well as a secondary education diploma with a focus on Economics and Modern Languages from Forum Da Vinci.
