Leon McCalla

Leon McCalla has a diverse work experience in the telecommunications industry. Leon worked as a Senior Network Engineer at Hotwire Communications Ltd starting in 2018. Prior to that, they served as the President of Caribbeanlink, Inc. from 2000 onwards, where they offered network design and monitoring solutions for carriers and businesses. Leon also had a role as Director, CFO, and Principal (33% share) at DFLTEL Corp., a wholesale telecom operations company, where they implemented automated P/L reports and enhanced the billing system. Furthermore, they held the position of Chief Technology Officer and Principal (25% share) at Callworks Jamaica Limited, where they oversaw marketing, sales, and call minute management. Leon developed an understanding of the regulatory environment in Jamaica and implemented a comprehensive billing system.

Leon McCalla attended Florida International University from 1991 to 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Telecommunications. In addition to their degree, Leon also obtained certifications in CCNA and CCNP from Cisco in April 2000.
