Brett Ryan

Brett Ryan has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Brett currently works at Houlihan Lokey as a Vice President since April 2022. Prior to that, they were the Director of IT at ADT Commercial from January 2019 to April 2022.

Before joining ADT Commercial, Ryan held various roles at Red Hawk Fire&Security. From May 2015 to April 2022, they served as the Director of IT, Integration & M&A, where they oversaw budget reviews, contract negotiations, and strategic planning for ERP conversions and migrations. Brett also managed a team to provide technical support to users and improve customer service and quality control through a CRM portal. From April 2012 to May 2015, they held the position of Applications Manager, Support, focusing on ERP integration, customer support, and month-end reporting.

Ryan's earlier experience includes working as a Senior Application Analyst at UTC Fire & Security from December 2008 to April 2012, and as an Assistant Controller at Detection Logic Fire Protection from May 2005 to November 2008. In their role at Detection Logic Fire Protection, they performed job cost analysis, provided support to the CFO for month-end close, annual audits, tax preparation, and general account reconciliation.

Brett Ryan earned a Bachelor's degree in English with a concentration in Accounting from the University of California, Davis, between 2000 and 2005. Brett later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting and Finance from the Florida Institute of Technology, completing it between 2011 and 2013. Additionally, Brett Ryan has obtained certifications such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA (now expired) and Sage 300 CRE (Timberline) Certified Consultant from Sage.
