Max Ackermann has an extensive work history in various roles and companies. In 2006, they founded Max Ackermann Studio, where they worked until 2008. Max then worked as a Visiting Lecturer at Kingston University in 2008. From 2005 to 2012, they held multiple positions at Central Saint Martins College Of Art and Design, including Head of Design & Interaction and Senior Lecturer. In 2010, they served as an Academic Supervisor for Knowledge Transfer Partnership. From 2008 to 2016, they co-founded and worked at Ludopoli, a product design & engineering firm. From 2016 to 2017, they worked as a Managing Director and Design Director at Siberia. Max was also an Expert Consultant at Stiftung Risiko-Dialog from 2016 to 2017. Starting in 2018, Max joined McKinsey & Company, where they held the positions of Associate Partner, Co-Leader Business Building EMEA, and Leader McKinsey Design Germany. In 2022, they founded House of Change. Throughout their career, Max has been involved in various industries, including technology, education, and design.

Max Ackermann's education history is as follows:

Max Ackermann began their education in 1996 at Aliso Niguel High School, completing their sophomore year in 1997. After high school, they attended the United World College of the Atlantic from 1998 to 2000, earning an International Baccalaureate degree.

In 2001, Max enrolled at Central Saint Martins, University of The Arts London, where they completed a Diploma in Foundation Studies in Art & Design in 2002. They continued their education at the same institution, completing a Bachelor's degree (BA Hons) in Graphic Design from 2002 to 2005.

Max then pursued further education at the University of the Arts London from 2008 to 2009, obtaining a PgCert in Learning and Teaching.

In addition to their formal education, Max also obtained several certifications. In 2011, they became a certified Motorcycle Mechanic through IMI AWARDS LIMITED. They also obtained the certifications of KMP I - Kanban System Design and KPM II - Certified Kanban Management Professional in February 2019, from Lean Kanban Inc. and Kanban University, respectively. Max also became a Certified ScrumMaster through Scrum Alliance in April 2018. Earlier in their career, Max obtained a Beach Lifeguard certification from Royal Life Saving Society UK - RLSS UK in May 1999 and a Paramedic certification from Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Deutschland in the year 2000.

In 2010, Max achieved the title of Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, which was awarded by the Higher Education Academy, although the exact month is unknown.
