EVP at House Studios

Rory brings a vast wealth of experience to House Studios as the company’s Executive Vice President. Recognized internationally as a pioneering leader in arts education, Rory brings his dynamic passion and energy to every aspect of House.

Rory began his career in the entertainment industry as a sound engineer, creative director and scriptwriter.

Before joining House, Rory was Senior Executive Director of Arts Education for the Los Angeles Unified School District, where he increased access and equity to the arts for all students. During his tenure, he was also the creator and executive producer of the two-time Emmy nominated Spotlight Arts!. Prior to this, Rory was CEO at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington DC. There he created the Performance Series of Legends, raising millions for Ellington artists through celebrity performances and master classes by Sting, Paul Simon, Dave Chappelle, Earth Wind & Fire, Patti Labelle, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, and others. He also served as Academic Director and Artistic Director for the Denver School of the Arts and led the curriculum and programmatic design of the first public elementary arts school in Denver.

In his personal and professional life, Rory has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to Arts, Education & Culture, passionately believing that a rich and equitable exposure to these vital areas are essential to building a more humane world.
