Ian Parkes

Ian Parkes has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Ian is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer at Household Capital since 2023. Prior to this, Ian worked at REA Group as the General Manager Transformation from 2021 to 2022, leading a key integration project. Ian also held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Mortgage Choice from 2018 to 2021 and Homeloans Ltd from 2012 to 2018.

Ian's earlier roles include Head of Finance Private Banks at BT Financial Group from 2010 to 2011, Head of Finance- Group Finance at Westpac in 2010, and various leadership positions at St.George Bank Limited from 2001 to 2010.

Ian Parkes completed their Bachelor of Economics with a specialization in Accounting from the University of Sydney between 1988 and 1990. In 1994, they obtained a CA (Chartered Accountant) degree from The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. Later, from 2003 to 2005, they pursued an MBA in Strategy Innovation from Charles Sturt University.
