Mario Garrido has worked in a variety of roles across several companies since 1999. Their career began at Telstra Corporation, where they were a Consumer Marketing Manager - Youth and Pre-paid from 1999 to 2002. Mario then moved to Telstra, where they were a Marketing Manager - Messaging Solutions and Director & Communication Strategist from 2002 to 2007. In 2007, Garrido became General Manager Strategic Solutions Group at DMG Radio Australia. Mario then joined Village Roadshow as General Manager Sales, Marketing & Experience in 2011. In 2012, Garrido joined Movietimes.com.au as an Advisory Board Member. The same year, they also founded Quedemonos.cl. In 2014, they became Director of Sales and Marketing at Betfair Australia. In 2015, Garrido joined AustralianSuper as Growth Strategy, Head of Brand and Engagement, Head of Brand, Retention, and Behaviour Change (Behavioural Economics), and Head of Brand, Engagement & Marketing. Mario also became an Advisory Board Member at VidCorp. In 2019, Garrido was appointed Chief Marketing Officer at Household Capital.

Mario Garrido completed an Associate Diploma in Business Advertising from RMIT University, with a focus in Marketing & Advertising.
