David Partington

David Partington's work experience includes holding the position of Head of Internal Audit at the Houses of Parliament Restoration & Renewal since November 2020. Prior to that, they worked at CITB from 2014 to 2020, where they held various roles such as Head of Audit, Risk & Compliance. David was also the Director at The Audit Specialist from 2013 to 2014, providing internal audit, governance, assurance, and risk management services to organizations in sectors including healthcare, education, and government. David served as the Interim Governance and Risk Manager at United Utilities from 2013 to 2014 and was a part of CIPFA North West's Audit, Risk and Governance Group from 2009 to 2014. Earlier in their career, they were the Director of Audit at Audit North West from 2009 to 2012 and the Internal Audit Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers from 2003 to 2009. David started their career as an Assistant Audit Manager at Beever and Struthers in 2001.

David Partington attended North Chadderton from 1982 to 1989, but did not obtain a degree or specialize in any field of study. David also holds additional certifications, including being an Associate Chartered Management Accountant and having a CIPFA Certificate in Investigatory Practice.
