Denita Clara Bearden

Denita Clara Bearden is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in administrative leadership and operations management. Currently serving as the Chief Administrative Officer at The Housing Authority of the Birmingham District, Bearden oversees administrative functions, acts as a liaison to the President/CEO, and leads special projects that shape the agency's strategic direction. Prior to this role, Bearden was the Director of Operations at Innovate Birmingham, managing operational tasks, overseeing a significant budget, and coordinating training for program participants. Earlier experience includes serving as the Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Advancement at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and positions in the DeKalb County District Attorney's Office and with the Atlanta Falcons. Bearden holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from the University of Florida, a Mentoring and Leadership Certificate from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and a Certificate in Organizational Leadership from Harvard Business School Online.
