Sue Evans

Sue Evans is a seasoned professional in urban design and planning, currently serving as the Director of Urban Design, Urban Planning and Design at Kāinga Ora - Homes and Communities since October 2019. With extensive experience at Housing New Zealand Corporation since May 2014 as Urban Design Manager, Evans oversees design management and strategic initiatives for social and affordable housing projects. Previous roles include Senior Urban Designer, Adjunct Senior Lecturer at The University of Auckland, and Manager of Urban Design and Architecture at the Auckland Waterfront Development Agency, where significant public space projects were delivered. Evans holds a Master of Urban Design and a Bachelor of Architecture from The University of Auckland, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Ecology.
