Erik Gruwel

Erik Gruwel has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and positions. Erik currently serves as the Group CFO at HousingAnywhere starting in 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Danone in various finance and leadership roles. From 2015 to 2021, they held positions including Global Finance Director, Global Sales, Category & Brands Finance Director, Global Zero-Based Budgeting Director, and Global Financial Planning & Analysis. During their time at Danone, they were responsible for driving growth, profitability, and financial planning across different divisions of the company. Before joining Danone, Erik worked at Mars from 2010 to 2015, where they held roles such as Site & Supply Finance Manager and European Finance Graduate. In addition, Erik has experience as a Supervisory Board Member and Treasurer & Controller at RSM STAR, as well as an Intern in M&A at KPMG. Erik also had early work experience as a Front Officer Student Services at Erasmus University Rotterdam and as an Intermediary and Bookkeeper at Mise en Place.

Erik Gruwel began their education at the Wilgen school from 1990 to 1996. Erik then attended the Katholieke Scholengemeenschap Hoofddorp from 1996 to 2002, where they earned a Gymnasium degree. In 2002, Erik enrolled at the Erasmus University Rotterdam and the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, where they pursued a degree in Business Administration, Finance & Investments. Erik completed their studies in 2010. In 2009, Erik participated in an MSc Exchange program at Stellenbosch University, where they focused on Business Administration. Finally, in 2022, Erik attended the CEDEP - Executive Development program in Fontainebleau, specializing in Lead Ahead.
