Maya Houston

Maya Houston currently serves as the Director of Development at the Houston Advanced Research Center (HARC), where efforts focus on building a fundraising program to advance the organization's mission of driving sustainable solutions in energy, air, water, and resilience. Previously, Maya held the position of Director of Development at Houston Christian High School, where responsibilities included overseeing campaign, annual operating, and alumni development efforts. Prior experience includes roles such as AVP Development at the Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston, Executive Director and Director of Development at the Houston Public Library Foundation, and Vice President of Development/Strategic Projects at the Houston Zoo. Maya began their career in development at UTMB and Rice University, after earning an MBA in Marketing from the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management and a BA in History from Trinity College-Hartford.
