Derek Goff

Derek Goff is a geophysicist at Houston Energy L.P. since March 2016, with prior experience as a research assistant at Louisiana State University from August 2013 to February 2016. Derek's industry background includes an earth science internship at Chevron, where key contributions involved creating 4-D acoustic impedance change maps, quantifying remaining resources through rock physics modeling, and enhancing existing workflows to improve volumetric calculations. Additional experience encompasses a research internship focused on subsidence rates in the Louisiana Coastal Zone and roles at Generation Services and Houston Energy L.P., where Derek developed skills in shot record processing, seismic interpretation, and well log analysis. Derek holds a Master’s Degree in Geology/Earth Science from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor's Degree in the same field from the University of Colorado Boulder.
