Jeannine Porter

Jeannine Porter, Ed. D. has a diverse work experience spanning several education organizations. Jeannine currently serves as the Chief of Communications, Marketing, and Strategic Initiatives at Irving ISD. Prior to this, they held roles as the School Leadership for Irving ISD, Chief of Employee Services at Irving ISD, and Executive Director of Employee Services at Irving ISD.

Before joining Irving ISD, Jeannine worked as the HR Division Director at Irving Independent School District. Jeannine also held the position of Director of Talent Acquisition and Retention at Spring Independent School District and Director of Talent Acquisition at Harmony Public Schools.

Their career began at Houston ISD, where they worked as a Principal and Dean of Students. In these roles, Jeannine managed various aspects of school administration, including discipline enforcement, counseling, curriculum planning, standardized testing, and staff management. Jeannine also played a key role in the development of educational programs and initiatives.

Throughout their career, Jeannine has demonstrated strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a commitment to supporting and promoting student success.

Jeannine Porter, Ed. D. earned a Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Administration and Supervision from Texas Southern University in 2015. Jeannine also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communication and Media Studies from Stephen F. Austin State University, as well as a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Mass Communication/Media Studies from the same institution. Additionally, they obtained a Master of Education (MEd) degree from Texas A&M University-Texarkana.
