Maria Patton

Maria Patton is a seasoned communications professional with a strong background in sports and media. Currently serving as a Communications Intern with the Houston Texans since June 2024, Maria previously gained valuable experience as a Football Communications Intern with the Detroit Lions from May 2023 to February 2024, and as a VIP Communications Intern with University of Michigan Athletics from August 2022 to May 2023. Additional roles include serving as a Freelance Writer for Concentrate Ann Arbor from February 2021 to May 2023, and working as a Gameday and Training Camp Assistant for the Detroit Lions from July 2022 to January 2023. Maria also contributed as a Columnist for Michigan in Color at The Michigan Daily from October 2020 to January 2022. Maria holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies with a minor in Spanish from the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts, completed in May 2023, and began studies in Business at Xavier University from August 2019 to May 2020.
