Jarrod Carroll is an experienced media professional with a background in radio and television. Currently serving as the host at Houston Public Media's News 88.7 FM since March 2014, Carroll excels as an on-air voice talent, producer, and editor. Prior experience includes a role as the first on-camera traffic and breaking news helicopter reporter/photographer at KTRK-TV Disney ABC 13 from January 2004 to September 2013, where responsibilities encompassed assigning reporters and generating story ideas. Carroll has also worked as a morning traffic anchor for KTRH AM 740 and held positions as an assignment editor at News 24 Houston and Westwood One. Early career highlights feature serving as a morning sports anchor at KQUE 102.9 FM / KNUZ 1230AM and a radio anchor with Metro Networks. Carroll earned a Bachelor of Arts in Radio and Television from the University of Houston.
