Galen Krumel

Galen Krumel has a strong background in engineering and technology. Galen is currently serving as the VP of Engineering at HOVER Inc. starting from June 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the VP of Engineering at Lyte from May 2022 to May 2023. Galen also served as an Advisor at Novi from March 2020 to February 2023. Galen has also co-founded Embersea, a technology consultancy, where they advised on technical and team strategies while working with early-stage startups from January 2021 to March 2022. Galen has vast experience in Eventbrite where they held multiple roles including VP of Engineering, Senior Director of Engineering, and Engineering Manager from 2011 to 2020. Before that, they worked as a Manager of Software Engineering at Linden Lab from 2009 to 2011, and as a Software Development Engineer II at Microsoft from April 2008 to December 2008. Galen started their career as a Software Engineer at Danger, Inc from December 2002 to April 2008, and as a QA Manager at Reality Fusion, Inc. from June 2000 to December 2002.

Galen Krumel attended the University of California, Santa Cruz from 1997 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
