Andrea Costigliola

Andrea Costigliola has a diverse work experience in various roles related to digital systems, data science, and knowledge management. Currently, at Hovione, they serve as the Digital Director - Applications and Data Science, overseeing the adoption of new solutions and software development. Andrea has led the development of critical applications and played a key role in the company's digital transformation strategy. Prior to this, Andrea was the Data Science & Digital Systems Senior Manager at Hovione, where they built and managed a team of data scientists and data engineers. Andrea also led the development of technological and analytics solutions and supervised the prototyping of robotic process automation tools. In their previous role as the Intelligent Systems Lead in the Quality department, they worked on software and solutions development for new Quality Control facilities. Andrea has also worked in the Knowledge Management department, where they contributed to the development of a knowledge-based system and data-driven models for capacity and sales forecast. Additionally, they have experience as an Assistant Professor at Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias, teaching Decision Support Systems and Advanced Architectures for Computing. Andrea began their career as a Graduate Research Intern at INESC-ID.

Andrea Costigliola completed an Executive Education program in Leading for High Performance at Nova School of Business and Economics in 2020. Prior to that, from 2014 to 2016, Andrea earned a Master's Degree in Information Systems and Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico. Lastly, Andrea obtained an Undergraduate Academic Degree in Automation Engineering from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, which was completed from 2007 to 2014.
