Director Of Social And Behavioral Research at Howard Brown Health Center

Hale Thompson has a diverse work experience in research and academia. They served as the Director of Social and Behavioral Research at Howard Brown Health starting in September 2022. Before that, they worked as an Assistant Professor at Rush University Medical Center, where they also held a LGBT Post-Doctoral Fellow position. Additionally, they were an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois Chicago and completed an NSF Integrative Pre-Doctoral Fellowship in Electronic Security and Privacy at the same institution.

Hale Thompson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Chicago, a Master of Arts in Sociology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a Graduate Certificate in Community Development from the University of Illinois Chicago, a Master of Science in Epidemiology from the University of Minnesota, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Health Sciences from the University of Illinois Chicago. They also have additional certifications in Mental Health First Aid and Community Development.
