Celia Torres Arancivia

Celia Torres Arancivia serves as a Laboratory Manager I/Research at Howard Hughes Medical Institute since September 2021, overseeing laboratory operations. Previously, Celia held the position of Postdoctoral Fellow at Boston University from May 2016 to June 2019, where research focused on the biochemical and structural characterization of glycoproteins related to transthyretin cardiac amyloidosis. Earlier experience includes a Doctoral Researcher role at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (August 2007 - December 2010) focusing on recombinant protein expression and purification, along with an Adjunct Lecturer position at The City College of New York (August 2003 - August 2008) teaching General Chemistry. Celia's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, and postdoctoral training at Boston University in Amyloidosis, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Universidad Nacional Agraria La Molina.
