Rui Yan

Rui Yan's work experience begins in 2010 as a Research Assistant at Purdue University. From 2012 to 2019, they were a Graduate Student and PHD Candidate at Purdue University, where they also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant from 2012 to 2017. In 2014, Rui Yan worked as a Website Developer at the Center for Science of Information, NSF STC. Since 2019, Rui Yan has been working at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, initially as a Cryoem Staff Scientist and later transitioning to the role of Staff Scientist and SPA Lead.

Rui Yan completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering at Tianjin University from 2003 to 2007. From 2007 to 2010, Rui Yan pursued a Master of Science in Biomathematics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology at Nankai University. Subsequently, from 2010 to 2012, Rui Yan continued their education at Purdue University, earning a Master of Science in Neurobiology and Neurosciences. Finally, Rui Yan completed their highest level of education, a Doctor of Philosophy in Structural and Computational Biology & Biophysics; Computational Life Sciences, at Purdue University from 2012 to 2018.
